happy birthday, Ed

It's Ed Markowski's birthday today. Ed's given us some of America's very best baseball and sports haiku and senryu. See American Sports Haiku by Ed Markowski at f/k/a. But, his oeuvre is far broader and deeper than his sports poetry -- as you can see by clicking the links at Ed's f/k/a archives page. Best wishes to my very good friend from Auburn Hills, Michigan!

thank you for the birthday greeting. you are much too kind.

didn't have to go in to work until 7pm. laurice & i were able to have a great japanese / korean dinner.

miso soup 7 a cucumber salad, then...

went with japanese appetizers (sushi) & split a bulgogi entree.

bulgogi means "fire meat." thinly sliced marinated beef that just melts in your mouth.
