Safeway's out of milk and bread
bitter cold
before the solstice --
the weather man acts surprised
david giacalone ("dagosan") looks at the foibles and ironies of the human condition, using poems structured like haiku but called "senryu", and with an occasional photo "haiga" (an image with a linked poem).

our local grocer (only one in town with the next nearest 26 miles) has a solution for this . . . Raise the prices and gouge!
Wow, Eric, price gouging, the first issue to cross-over from my pundit weblog to my senryu site! Your grocer has probably been reading a lot of those free market weblogs.
